Evergreen Ratings re-rates the iPartners Core Income Fund and commends its innovative offering.

Evergreen Ratings has re-rated iPartners Core Income Fund as "Commended" again. (By Harwin Ramos, 26th April 2023)

Evergreen described the Fund as "technology-driven, with innovative use of unit trusts, to meet a pressing market need for self-driven investors to generate income when prevailing bond yields are low." Since then, cash and bond yields have risen, while net returns to Fund investors have remained steady within the top of the 6% to 8% target return range.

Since its inception, the Fund has reached its intended return, and by emphasizing senior credit opportunities the Manager reduced the fund's risk profile while raising returns to and above the top end of its target range. By industry standards, the nominal fees charged to the Fund (0.5% Management Expenses Ratio or MER) and Trustee (0.1%) are relatively modest. Additionally, using the iPartners Platform, investors can invest in alternative assets for as little as $10,000, reducing the minimum investment threshold.

Evergreen Ratings has re-rated iPartners Core Income Fund as "Commended"  again.

The iPartners Core Income Fund aims to provide investors with a diverse portfolio of secured fixed-income assets such as private credit, asset-backed securities, property debt, and private credit funds. The Fund seeks total annual returns of 6% to 8% (after fees and taxes) during a minimum investment term of nine months.

Evergreen Ratings has confidence in the fund manager and investment product offered by iPartners.  The iPartners Core Income Fund has consistently performed well across most areas of Evergreen Ratings' research and analysis framework, and as a result, Evergreen believes the Fund has a high probability of meeting its objectives. The Fund is generally well-designed, with fees that are in line with the product's nature and peers. The Manager has adequate, excellent processes and resources, such as risk management and corporate governance, to manage an appropriate outcome.
